讲座/报告内容简介:

Raman spectroscopy is a widely used analytical technique based on measuring the rotational or vibrational spectra of molecules and atoms. Therefore, it can support qualitative and quantitative analyse of the composition and structures of substances. In recent years, some pilot studies have been carried out in University College London to explore the potential of combining Raman spectroscopy and optical fibres to monitor different deterioration mechanisms of concrete. In this presentation, two optical fibre Raman systems, namely, a'coaxial' optical fibre Raman system and a'transmission' optical fibre Raman system, are introduced. The former can be used to monitor the carbonation and sulfate attack, while the latter could be used to follow the ingress of chloride ions into concrete. Based on our results, the potential for developing a Raman spectroscopy based optical fibre sensor system for monitoring concrete durability is then discussed.

拉曼光谱是一种广泛使用的分析技术,它基于测量分子和原子的旋转或振动光谱。 因此,它可以支持对物质的组成和结构的定性和定量分析。 近年来,伦敦大学学院开展了一些试点研究,探索将拉曼光谱和光纤结合起来监测混凝土不同劣化机制的潜力。 在本演讲中,介绍了两种光纤拉曼系统,即“同轴”光纤拉曼系统和“传输”光纤拉曼系统。 前者可用于监测碳化和硫酸盐侵蚀,而后者可用于跟踪氯离子进入混凝土的情况。 根据我们的结果,然后讨论了开发基于拉曼光谱的光纤传感器系统以监测混凝土耐久性的潜力。

Yun Bai,教授,英国伦敦大学学院。Chair in Construction Materials in the Department of Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering (CEGE) at University College London (UCL), Fellow of The UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Fellow of The Institute of Concrete Technology (FICT) and Fellow of The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIMMM). He is also Head of the Advanced and Innovative Materials (AIM) Group, Deputy Head of Civil Engineering Section and Co-Director of UCL-UDM Advanced Infrastructure Research Centre (UUAIR).
