2021年9月11日，东莞理工学院迎来2021级本科新生正式报到的日子，为做好迎接2021级新生的相关工作，学校多部门联动，通过信息化平台做好科学防疫，构建新生“个性档案”，保障新生安全报到、高效入学。在校内，学校各部门及各二级学院安排了志愿者，全程为新生提供迎新报到服务。为了加强新生对学校、学院归属感，各个学院纷纷为自己的新生准备了别样的“见面礼”，祝愿新生能在大学四年用学识充实自己。
Dongguan University of Technology welcomed its 2021 undergraduate freshers on September 11th, 2021. To meet and interact with the class of 2021 new students, many departments of DGUT coordinated and organized the scientific epidemic prevention program using information platforms. To ensure their safe registration and efficient enrollment, the departments built a “personal file” for each freshman. On the campus, all departments and secondary colleges of DGUT allocated volunteers to facilitate the whole welcome-process and the registration services. In order to strengthen a sense of belonging and camaraderie among the new entrants to the university and the school, all schools prepared individual “Welcome gifts” for their new students. The staff and faculty ushered in and wished them all the luck for the four glorious years they were about to spend in the university.
报到当天，学校学生艺术团为新生们贡献了多场精彩的表演快闪，吸引了不少新生驻足观看。迎新横幅、创意拍照板……学校两校区各处分布着各具特色的迎新装饰，为迎新工作营造了浓郁的氛围。今年新生完成报到手续后，还能领取到属于自己的莞工启程包——我的梦想我来莞，在接下来的日子里，新生们将穿上青春洋溢的莞工服正式开启自己的莞工之旅。
On the day of registration for the new entrants, many attractive and wonderful performances were presented by the Student Art Association of DGUT for freshman. Both the campuses were decorated with celebratory 'welcome' banners and creative photo-display boards, creating a festive atmosphere to welcome the new batch of undergrads. After completing the registration procedures, this year every freshman received their own DGUT Life Starting Package with the motto “I will Realize My Dream in DGUT”. Over the next few days, the freshmen will officially start their journey in DGUT in their attractive youthful special suits of DGUT.
