8月23日-24日，第五届中国巴西应用数学与计算数学会议在松山湖科学城召开。本次会议由中国数学会和巴西应用与计算数学会共同主办，中国数学会计算数学分会协办，东莞理工学院计算机科学与技术学院承办，并得到中国自然科学基金委数理部及松山湖管委会支持。大会邀请了中国、巴西多位学术界大咖参加，旨在加强和促进应用数学和计算数学不同领域专家之间的联系和对话，为中巴专家、学者，提供相互交流、研讨、合作的平台。大会为期2天，采用“线上+线下”相结合的方式，围绕优化、数值代数及科学计算等领域的前沿话题展开深度探讨，共同推动应用数学和计算数学的研究和应用。
The 5th China-Brazil Symposium on Applied and Computational Mathematics was held in Songshan Lake Science City from August 23rd to 24th, 2021. The Symposium was co-sponsored by the Chinese Mathematical Society and the Brazilian Society of Applied and Computational Mathematics. It was co-organized by the Chinese Society for Computational Mathematics, and hosted by the School of Computer Science and Technology of DGUT. The two-day symposium was supported by the Department of Mathematics and Physics of National Natural Science Fund of China and the Songshan Lake Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone Administrative Committee. The Symposium, which attracted many academic scholars from China and Brazil, aimed to strengthen and promote exchange of knowledge and dialogue among experts in the fields of applied and computational mathematics, and serve as a platform for mutual exchange, discussion, and cooperation between Chinese and Brazilian experts and scholars. During the two days, the Symposium was held in an “online + offline” combination mode to facilitate detailed discussions on cutting-edge topics in the fields of optimization, numerical algebra, and scientific computing. All participants jointly promoted the research and application of applied and computational mathematics.
相关负责人表示，今年正值中国与巴西建交47周年，此次活动顺利举行促进中巴专家之间的交流与合作，推动应用数学与计算数学前进的步伐，也向世界展示中国与巴西全面战略合作伙伴关系内涵正在不断延伸。
“The year 2021 marks the 47th Anniversary of China-Brazil Diplomatic Relations. The Symposium successfully promoted the exchange and cooperation between Chinese and Brazilian experts and pushed the development of applied and computational mathematics. This cooperation also demonstrates to the world that the comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership between China and Brazil is expanding”, a significant person-in-charge reported.
