Dongguan New Energy Research Institute Unveiled
7月29日，东莞新能源研究院在松山湖国际创新创业社区举行揭牌仪式。
On July 29th, 2021, the opening ceremony of Dongguan New Energy Research Institute was held in Songshan Lake International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community.
据悉，东莞能源研究院前期建设获专项资金达2亿元，中国科学院工程热物理研究所将投入高水平科技研发人员，协助东莞理工学院开展高水平理工科大学建设，支撑建设绿色低碳学科群，推动能源与动力工程、应用化学两个专业国家级一流本科专业的建设，推动能源动力、材料与化工专业学位硕士点建设，力争获得能源动力或材料与化工专业学位博士点授权；中国科学院工程热物理研究所将携手东莞理工学院联合培养本科、硕士、博士研究生和博士后不少于2000人；推动广东省分布式能源重点实验室等学科平台的建设。
It is reported that the Dongguan New Energy Research Institute will receive a special fund of RMB 200 million for its preliminary construction. The Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences will furnish high-level research and development personnel to assist DGUT in carrying out the construction of a high-level science and engineering university and support the development of a green and low carbon multi-disciplinary group. In addition, it will promote the development of national first-class undergraduate programs in Energy and Power Engineering, as well as Applied Chemistry, and facilitate the development of postgraduate programs in Energy Power, Material Science, and Chemical Engineering. DGUT is striving to obtain authorization for doctoral programs in Energy Power, Material Science, and Chemical Engineering. The Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and DGUT will carry out joint education programs to train no less than 2,000 undergraduates, postgraduates, doctoral candidates, and post-doctoral fellows. It will facilitate the construction of discipline platforms such as Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Distributed Energy.
