课程简介：

This course covers the fundamentals and advanced applications of artificial intelligence and deep learning. Artificial intelligence is the study of making computers to simulate human thought and identification process (such as learning, inferring, thinking, planning, etc.), and deep learning is the most effective way to achieve artificial intelligence. The first half of this course covers the basic knowledge and application of artificial intelligence and deep learning, and then focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in segmentation, detection, geometric estimation and reinforcement learning.

本课程讲述人工智能和深度学习的基础知识和前沿应用。人工智能是研究使计算机来模拟人的思维过程和识别过程（如学习、推理、思考、规划等）的学科，深度学习是实现人工智能当前最有效的方法。本课程前半段涉及人工智能与深度学习的基础知识与应用，后面针对人工智能在分割，检测，几何估计以及增强学习上的应用着重进行深入讨论。

授课教师及简介：

Weide Liu，中国，新加坡 Agency for Science, Technology and Research（ASTAR） 研究科学家（Research Scientist），在顶级学术会议和顶级期刊发表文章多篇。

课程助教基本情况：

李宽，男，副教授，研究领域为医学图像处理、模式识别与机器学习、高性能计算/2018年9月作为引进高层次人才加入东莞理工学院。获2020年中国产学研合作创新奖（个人），获湖南省自然科学一等奖一项，获湖南省优秀博士论文奖一项，出版软件开发著作两部，发表论文20余篇，其中第一作者ESI高被引SCI论文2篇。主持国家自然科学基金项目一项，国家级重点项目子课题一项，横向项目若干。2013-2018作为骨干参与银河和天河系列超级计算机编译系统的研制工作。
