2021年4月，在双方院校的推动下，我校与新西兰奥克兰大学签署《东莞理工学院与奥克兰大学学术合作谅解备忘录》，正式建立两校校际合作关系。两校将开展在科学研究、人才培养、师生交流交换等领域开展深度合作。

In April 2021, DGUT and the University of Auckland (UoA) signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Academic Cooperation between DGUT and the University of Auckland. The signing of this MoU marks the formal establishment of inter-university academic collaboration between the two universities. Both universities will carry out in-depth collaborative work pertaining to scientific research, talent training and develop communication and exchange programs for teachers and students.

为加大力度拓展国际联合培养博士项目的层次与规模，扩大我校国际学术科研影响力，夯实我校与世界名校新西兰奥克兰大学（2021QS世界大学排名第81位）友好合作基础。两校于5月11日上午举行线上联合培养博士项目协议签署仪式。

The signing ceremony of the online academic collaborative program agreement was held on the morning of May 11th.This is a significant step for DGUT seeking to strengthen its international joint doctoral program while expanding its influence in international academic research. This effort sets a firm foundation for future academic collaboration between DGUT and UoA (a world-leading university ranked the 81st in the 2021 QS World University Rankings).

我校与奥克兰大学联合培养博士，是我校继与诺丁汉大学、新南威尔士大学等大学开展联合培养博士合作后第六个国际联合培养博士项目。奥克兰大学的加盟，将助力推动学校未来学科平台建设与人才培养等方面的快速发展。

This marks the sixth international joint doctoral training program of DGUT, following similar alliances with the University of Nottingham, the University of New South Wales, and other universities. The addition of the UoA is expected to augment the rapid growth and development of future discipline construction and talent training of DGUT.
